"This unique personal development approach has helped me in assertively establishing myself in my new role and has meant that I have gained great buy-in and support from my team members because of the environment created by the application of various techniques covered in my program. This means that more of our customers are now able to benefit from our new approach to them". We bring a unique behavioural mentoring approach that both guides and teaches how to be your best success. We listen, we observe and we work together with our clients to ensure that they get where they need to be to overcome obstacles, take on challenges and grow their reputation within the business and where appropriate, externally. We work with the needs and the issues of the person and the business situation simultaneously. We achieve results that are measurable. Our sessions build on well-evidenced tools and techniques with personal insights and hands-on experience that; "This approach.... enabled both men and women to share and explore their own diverse views about how we communicate in a safe, creative yet fun conversational manner - the atmosphere was very energized, practical and positive. I feel that this is the start of building a new and proactive culture where men and women can work together for better results. Personally this kind of event promotes best practice because better communication in the work place not only improves efficiency and performance but also leads to a much more enjoyable and positive work environment." This Master Class pinpoints current key issues around the changes occurring for men in today's workplace. As traditional markets look towards becoming more service led, and most markets now recognize the value of trusted relationships, it is critical to shift male/technical mindsets towards new ways of managing people and diverse workplaces, both internally and externally. Building on our current research into 'What Men Think', we have designed a Master Class that informs men about how to discuss new attitudes and explores what the hidden issues are. The focus is on how gender awareness from a man's perspective can benefit the performance levels both in teams and across mixed gender work cultures. Our Master Class is designed senior men in the first place, and open to senior women appropriately, the session: "It was especially significant for me as the Business Manager to learn how differently colleagues perceived each other and myself, and how this had caused performance in the team to be ineffective. In particular, it was noticeable that the atmosphere across the whole team lightened and improved 100 fold; and that over a year later the change in many people is sustainable in a manner that I have not experienced with other programmes. Pauline has a wealth of experience about business as well as the people and this enhances the sustainability of the end result. Her skill to reach an eclectic audience always creates tangible benefits for everyone. Managing people more effectively has never been more key than in today's demanding economy. It is vital that employees actively engage with colleagues and clients in ways that suit their natural style and continue to maintain, build and improve effective working relationships. "The mere fact of running the Wellness Survey, and having to discuss the results, has provided our management team with a dialogue between ourselves that is open, supportive and which has brought about an 'ownership' by the team as a whole. The immediate influence of this survey has been to enable managers to speak to staff about specific personal views previously undefined; the staff feel noticed and taken seriously, and the managers now have a tool to ask the necessary questions without fear of offending anyone." Shifting the mindset of a whole culture is challenging for any organization. Through a structured approach we enable our clients to create a future business scenario using a series of topics built around our Wellness Map, using our effective Healthy High Performance behavioural criteria. This guides everyone to engage with the Culture Survey results and provides a basis for discussing the real issues for the business and to plan to next steps to bring about the future business scenario. Core to this work is our unique Culture Survey which provides a well-researched and measured view of what is happening in your business right now. We gather this data in a structured yet confidential manner and build trusted engagement conversations that can be cascaded to ensure everyone is fully committed to a collective future vision for healthy high performance. We audit the attitudinal shift year on year to prove the correlation with results over four areas; low attrition and low absenteeism, customer loyalty and creative teams, reputation and brand promise, productivity and innovation Our Wellness Culture Survey and Engagement Conversations: "Pauline has a unique understanding of the differences in communication and thoughts patterns between men and women. Thus she can add value to any business that aims to improve diversity, leverage on women talent and develop a more productive workforce…… She demonstrated how men and women can engage better with each other by adapting their style to the masculine/feminine personality of the recipient. She also suggested the styles and words that we can use to obtain greater results when conveying important messages. In view of the unique engagement with the audience, expertise and value that she can add to a company, I have no hesitation in recommending Pauline to any company that wishes to improve the retention of women talents." The credit crunch and financial crisis has brought attention to the emotional turmoil and downturn within the workplace - and the lack of women at leadership level has highlighted a serious gap in the potential solution for how men and women work together. There is increasing evidence of the positive influence women can have within a mixed top team and throughout an organisation, on many key areas such as behaviour, customer confidence, creativity, governance, risk and decision-making. Mixed gender boards are now leading on sustainable profit and shareholder value. However just adding women to the mix is not enough. If natural gender dynamics and the scope for men and women to come together is not fully valued, understood and reframed as a new mix for business, then old patterns will be repeated, with the same existing results and a new business blueprint will not emerge and bring about desired change and results. Investing in creative ways to communicate across and within the male and female spectrum, using our unique Gender Dynamics framework, this programme: This testimonial says it all: Pauline personally designs and hosts Magical Conversations, for senior leaders, male and female, to explore and share their viewpoints, possibilities and visions, enabling new solutions to emerge. As we develop people and help them to manage both their own destiny and their own lives, we find that organisations become more aware of the broader social issues, Corporate Social Responsibility and community issues that surround their business. From the results of these Magical Conversations come many bright ideas and a learning as to how to lead on these ideas and issues in the boardroom and in team meetings. Pauline's passion is to help people and businesses to build conversations that matter and take actions that make the difference. If we are going to create a new future, the story starts now! "A strong base was built which enhanced the team performance based on shared values and open relationships. This work has set a good foundation for understanding behaviour, motivation and needs. The team increased confidence and worked together more cohesively. Importantly this work enabled the team to succeed at a time of change and improve the financial performance of the business". Building effective teams of diverse personalities, genders and talents can prove the most efficient investment in business success today. Our experience shows that teams which don't understand one another and the different ways of working can easily become jaded when under pressure through presenteeism. They may struggle with each other as well as their business objectives. Often people know there is something wrong but don't know how to engage others to bring a resolution, nor do they recognise how the 'personal' is affecting their operating and delivery success. Managing personal differences and minor conflicts within teams often gets over-looked under time pressures, this programme:
